Top Five Selfie Spots In Udaipur For Your Social Media

These days most of us lean towards packing our selfie-sticks first than our toothpaste (well, I don’t), and why not? Who else will be more excited than you to take your picture? Called the city of lakes, Udaipur that belongs to Rajasthan has more than enough scenic spots to give a selfie rage to the inner selfie-person in you.

India By Car and Driver brings you a collection of 5 of the most exciting selfie spots in the city.

Take unlimited selfies at these destinations in Udaipur

As India By Car and Driver, we hope that you take as many selfies as you can at these locations and get many likes, shares, comments, and we don’t know what else is on your social media accounts. Good luck.

Sajjan Garh Fort

Fenced by the Aravali Hills, a ride to The Monsoon Palace will take you on a stopover to the hills. When you visit here, don’t forget to go to the Biological Park nearby.

With the Pichola and Fateh Sagar lakes in sight, and the Aravali hills giving you the perfect background, this is a fine place to take a selfie or two.

As a bonus, the top of the Sajjangarh Fort also gives you a chance to take an excellent sunset selfie from the city’s highest point.

Fatehsagar Lake

Fun fact, the road leading to Fatehsagar Lake is the only place in Udaipur, which offers lip-smacking snacks even late at night. Here you can have an adventure boat riding to the Nehru Park, in the Lake’s center, or speed around the Lake in a motorboat, as the water splashes on your face.

You can enjoy some kulhad coffee, masala Maggi, or Bombay toaster sandwich as you glare at the beautiful sight.

Recreate the classic scene from Titanic by taking a selfie from the edge of the little restaurant at Nehru Park.

Lake Pichola

If Udaipur is the city of lakes, then this list will be incomplete without mentioning another lake. Lake Pichola is another famous Lake in the city where a boat ride is a must to view Udaipur’s beauty while on the move.

Go on a selfie rush to see iconic structures such as the Jag Mandir, Taj Lake Palace, Udai Vilas Palace, and the City Palace near the Lake.

City Palace

A sneak peeks into the lifestyle of the Rajasthan Royals, aka the once royal families, may make you feel desirous. Still, you can’t oppose the fact that the city’s famous City Palace gives you many chances to take that perfect selfie.

Take selfies like the regals at the Kanch Ki Burj or the jharokhas and many locations.

Ropeway

Your ropeway ride will start with mesmerizing sights of the rich green environments, which are home to various peacocks, and climb to the top of the temple and a nearby Dargah to enjoy a jaw-dropping horizon of Udaipur.

Go selfie-mad as you go on the cable car ride to the Karni Mata Temple.
